M：   Really? I thought it was yours.

W：   I bought this scarf on sale yesterday.

M：   Looks great! I should get one for my sister.

W：   Actually, this was the last one.

M：   Can I look at your textbook? I forgot mine.

W：   Again? You forgot it last time, too.

M：   Fine. I’ll just ask somebody else.

W：   It’s time for dinner. Where shall we eat?

M：   How about the Mexican restaurant we read about?

W：   That’d be nice, but I think it’s closed on Mondays.

M：   Guess what? I’ll be singing at the festival next Saturday.

W：   You’re a singer? That’s great!

M：   Yeah, I’ve been taking lessons for a year and a half.

W：   You look awful. Are you all right?

M：   It’s probably a cold. My nose is running, and I can’t stop sneezing.

W：   Same here. But in my case it’s hay fever.
