W：   It’s one o’clock now. Let’s get together at the library at four.

M：   How about two instead?

W：   Um, can we make it two hours from now? I have a meeting at two.

M：   Sounds good.

Question No. 2

W：   Help me with the cake, John. Can you put the blueberries on top?

M：   Sure. Where do you want them? On top of each spoonful of whipped cream?

W：   No, put them on the outside along the edge, please.

M：   All right.

Question No. 3

M：   Excuse me. I’m lost.

W：   Where’re you going?

M：   City Hall. Isn’t it across the street from a bookstore?

W：   Yes. Walk past the library, and you’ll see it right before the hospital.

Question No. 4

M：   Oh! Don’t you use discount tickets?

W：   But the bus fare is just a dollar fifty.

M：   Yeah, but with a pack of discount tickets, you can ride twelve times for the cost of ten.

W：   Really? I’ll get one now.

Question No. 5

W：   I’d like two medium pizzas.

M：   How about our special? A large, a medium, and two drinks for a dollar more.

W：   Oh, that’s a good deal, but it’s too much, and we don’t need anything to drink.

M：   OK.

M：   Don’t forget Jack’s birthday party on Saturday.

W：   I have to have a tooth pulled that day.

M：   Can’t you come after that?

W：   I don’t think so. I won’t feel like eating.
